As a busy mom of three young kids, I haven’t been prioritizing my health and fitness for the past few years. I’ve been struggling to lose weight, which was once a very easy task for me.
I’ve been researching different products on the market to help me get a better understanding of how my body reacts to food and a few other factors.
When I came across HumeHealths Body Pod, I knew right away that I had to try it because it gives an accurate reading of your body's composition. In this article I’ll be covering my whole experience after using it for a few weeks and explaining exactly what it measures. And, of course, I’ll be discussing if I think the Body Pod is worth the price.

Overall Rating: 4.6/5
The Body Pod really does give a full picture of your health, as it claims it does. I’ve never had a more accurate reading of my body composition done like this before. The science and accuracy behind this allows the user to understand how their body works and to reach their goals.
Ease of use
This could not have been any easier to use. Right out of the box it gives you simple directions to download the app and get on the scale. They have simplified the process which makes it perfect for everyone (even non technical users can do this).
Accuracy
The Body Pod uses 8 frequency sensors that deliver precise weight, full body composition and heart health. There are advanced sensors in the handle which scan your torso, arms, legs and heart at a 98% accuracy.
Integration
HumeHealth easily syncs data from the smart scale to your Apple Watch, Oura Ring, FitBit and more. This can help analyze sleep patterns which will be assessed.
Insights & Coaching
This scale and app are highly personalized to fit your exact needs based on your individual body metrics, needs and preferences. I have a personalized nutrition plan which breaks down how many carbs, proteins, fats and sodium in order to lose weight to reach my target goal.
Value for Money
The initial cost of the Body Pod is around $299 (currently on sale for $229) and it is important to point out that HSA/FSA are accepted. As for the app cost, I started with a one month free trial, followed by the regular price of $71.99 for the year. Coming in at about $6 a month, this is much more affordable than many memberships out there, especially for such high quality, personalized information.
Our Experience and Review of The Body Pod by HumeHealth
When I first opened the box, I expected for there to be a long setup involved to get the scale up and running. Instead I was met with four very simple steps to download the app and start using the Body Pod immediately. I was very impressed with how quick and simple it was to step on the scale, pull the handles up and within a few seconds have all my metrics uploaded to the app.
I filled out my information on the app and indicated that my goal was to lose weight, so goals were set for me based on my metrics. As someone who has always struggled to drink enough water, I immediately noticed that my Body Water was measuring low on the app. It explained that at 46% body water, my fat loss potential was being reduced by 63%! Reading that made me really get serious about my water consumption.
Having all of this information at my fingertips just by stepping on the Body Pod has been a game changer for me. The amount of data that you receive on the app was a bit overwhelming at first, but once I continued to step on daily and compared to previous days, it became very helpful.
I’ve never had access to all of these metrics before, and I truly think that this will continue to help me understand my body and how it works.

My Tips for Using The Body Pod
When using the Body Pod, I recommend placing it in the same place (make sure its on a flat hard surface) daily. Make sure to look at the pictures provided on how to correctly stand and hold the handle bars. You want to make sure that you’re holding it correctly so that the sensors can accurately pick up your readings. When first using the app after stepping on the Body Pod, look through all of your metrics and explore everything the app has to offer (which is a lot).
